Home movies - A Window to the past

If you are like me about 60 years old, growing up with recollections of your grandparents or if you were fortunate enough your great grandparents your family history collection was restricted to a few (silent) home movies or photographs.

Over the past 30 or more years with the advent of film to video/DVD transfers, children born in the 1980s onwards will have the opportunity to see and hear their grandparents and possibly great grandparents on digital formats. As each generation evolves into future movies on film and video will become an integral part of family history and researching family trees.

There are family history programs that allow integration of movie footage onto the family tree adding a new dimension of interest and archival significance.

Cineclair Productions P/L for over 35 years has been preserving and archiving families precious memories through their high-quality film transfers of 8mm, 9.5mm and 16mm to DVD and other formats. Sadly some film that may have been stored in hot or humid environments has suffered badly to the point where the transfer is very difficult, time-consuming and of little advantage.

If you have a movie film or for that matter, analogue videotape, that you haven't had transferred, now is the time to consider it. Call us today and we can save those precious family memories.
